220px-need_for_speed2c_most_wanted_2012_video_game_box_art

Developer: Criterion Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: October 30, 2012 (NA)
Played Platform: PC

Felt that this game is a more polish game that Criterion Games made after making Burnout Paradise

Things I like:

  • Open-world driving game
    • Finding jackspots (licensed cars) around the city
    • Crashing through billboards and fences
    • Taking down the 10 Most Wanted cars driving around the city to earn them
  • Every car can be modified by:
    • Body
    • Nitrous
    • Tires
    • Chassis
    • Transmission
  • Fast travel between jackspots you found and events you completed
  • The map shows you where to go while racing

Things I did not like:

  • Police is annoying
    • Need to drive under speed limit while free roaming or the cops start to chase you
    • They bother you while racing because they are constantly chasing you throughout the whole race
  • Driving is hard during day/night time
    • The sun rays blinds your eyes and can’t see the road for a few seconds
    • Hard to see the road when there is no street lights

Developer: Criterion Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: January 22 2008 (NA)
Played Platform: PC

Things I like:

  • Open-world driving game
    • Finding drive-thrus and events through the city
    • Crashing through billboards and fences
    • Taking down cars driving around the city to earn them
  • Different events the game offers
    • Race – get to the finish line, but there’s different ways to get there
    • Marked Man – Get to the destination without totaling your car
    • Road Rage – Takedown a certain amount of cars before the time runs out
    • Stunt Run – Rack up points while doing different stunts
    • Burning Route – Get to the destination before the time limit
  • Different types of car for different purposes
  • Able to go through a drive-thru (auto shop, spray, and gas station) in the middle of the event
  • Able to change the day of time if you don’t like driving at night or day

Things I did not like:

  • Navigate to multiple screens just to quit the game
  • The Takedown camera while racing sometimes takes awhile before you’re back driving
    • Wished they had no takedown when you’re not doing an event
  • The navigation to turn on a street is a little unclear sometimes
    • Can’t tell if it’s a sharp turn
  • No fast travel of some sort if you want to do an event on the other side of the city
  • Need to go to the junk yard just to change cars (there’s only 5)
